WOODWARD WEST GIRLS WEEK 2009
Woodward West recently hosted another awesome Girls Rule Week! Skateboarding, BMX, and Inline were all represented to help further women in action sports.

Over seventeen girls were present throughout the week and it was more than amazing. There were many great sessions that went down and we were all witness to the future of these sports.

Lyn-Z Adams-Hawkins was throwing down like no other on the vert ramp, firing out crazy mctwists. She never landed it, but that doesn’t mean much because it is still history in the making.

Thirteen year old Allysha Bergado was tearing it up on the vert ramp as well. This girl has been skating since she was seven years old and will be in the sport for a long time to come. When watching Lyn-Z try the mctwist, Allysha stated that “it makes me want to try it. I’m so excited for Lyn-Z to land it. It really helps pump me and progress.”

I had a wonderful time hanging out with all the girls, what an inspiration! My goal for next year is to double the amount of girls!
